At 24, Sandy taught trial advocacy skills and supervised Georgetown Law students in court hearings and trials. 

Her legal experiences span successful outcomes for clients as a public defender, trying and successfully mediating high-stakes litigation as a partner at a small boutique plaintiffs' practice and at prestigious large firms mediating and trying cases to verdict, and as in-house corporate counsel for a Fortune 35 corporation. Throughout, Sandy remained true to her roots as a Black woman attorney, training and mentoring countless other attorneys in their professional careers, as recognized by her peers.
